The North Syracuse Babe Ruth 14 yr old all-star team finished 3rd in the American Division of pool play [2-2] at the World Series in Appleton, WI.
They will play the 2nd place team from National Division [Appleton, WI Babe Ruth] at 8 pm tonight.

DISTRICT 2 ALL-STAR TOURNAMENTS
Both the 13 and 14 year-old All Star teams will be competing on Thursday and Friday, July 2nd and 3rd, 2009, in district tournament games against Valley Babe Ruth. The format will be a best of three game series.

The 15's have advanced to the State Tournament the weekend of July 16-20, 2009 at VanDuyn field hosted by Valley Babe Ruth.

The 14's won last night's rain soaked game 2-1, then went on to win 4-3 in this morning's 11 am game-no need for a 3rd game so we can all go to VanDuyn to watch the 13 year old all-stars. Congratulations to the 14 year old All-Stars - next stop Corning-Painted Post on July 16-18, 2009. Won States, Won Regionials in Bridgewater, NJ. Next stop: Appleton, Wisconsin for the World Series!

The 13 year old All-Stars lost the first game 5-3, but came back in the 2nd game to win 3-1, tying the series a one game apiece. Final game will be played tomorrow at VanDuyn at 12 noon. Good luck and keep playing well.
The final game resulted in a 9-5 loss after taking an early 4-0 lead. Valley advances to the state tournament in 2 weeks.
Good luck to them and WELLDONE to all the 13 Year-Old All-Stars and their coaches. If you didn't get a chance to watch them you missed some good baseball.
